This project included the design and construction of a new 4-engine Fire Station for the Hackberry Fire Department. The fire station includes an open area, kitchen, radio room, locker/dressing rooms, and sleeping quarters. The engine room contains state of the art fast-acting doors by Bator, allowing fire engines to leave in 8 seconds. The facility is designed to withstand high-flood and high-wind events, to allow the Fire Department to continue service after natural disasters.
The building’s contemporary design features metal wall panels, sleek windows, and all-composite exterior decking. The colors were chosen to match the Fire Department’s existing facilities, allowing for easy recognizability for the Hackberry community.
