Our commitment to our clients is to provide a "Project Team" that is well qualified to provide complete professional services required for the development of their individual projects.
When we enter into a project, our project team may include consulting engineers for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and specialty work based on their experience with that particular type of project. Each professional that is assigned to our team will have a substantial background in the performance of work similar to that assigned for the project. These consultants work directly with our firm and are compensated by us from our A/E fee. Utilizing this project team approach to organize and manage a project provides our firm the capability of effectively controlling a multi-disciplined group of project personnel.
Effective team organization, coordination, scheduling and supervision are among the key ingredients required for any project regardless of size or complexity. VSG Architects provides all of this, plus demonstrated experience.
“Some of the best architects in Southwest Louisiana. Lots of experience and easy to work with. If you need an architect, these guys are a great choice.”

Meet the Team
Principals
Curtis is a native of Southwest Louisiana and attended Sulphur High School. He graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1975. Upon graduation, he moved to Tucson, Arizona for 14 months and worked for a mechanical firm until he moved back to Sulphur in late 1976. He worked for other firms until he formed his own in October 1981.
The firm has been in continuous operation from then until the present time. The practice has consisted of commercial, educational, recreational, industrial, and residential projects. Curtis has always been family, church, and community oriented. Curtis has tried to run his practice with the same values that were taught to him by his parents and his journey to becoming an Eagle Scout.
Steve, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, graduated from Bastrop High School before attending Louisiana Tech University. While in school, he worked for Wells & Parker Architects in Monroe and Wells, Parker & Walpole in Ruston. After graduating, he took a position in Lake Charles, where the economy was stronger than in North Louisiana at the time.
After working as an intern for several local architectural firms, he passed his exams in 1989 and became a registered architect. He then joined an engineering group expanding into architectural work for industrial clients, becoming the lead architect and handling marketing. This move proved beneficial, as the industrial sector in the Lake Area continued to grow despite economic challenges in commercial architecture.
As the economy improved, Steve joined Curtis Vincent’s firm in 1991 and became a full partner in 1997. He is now one of three Principal Architects at the firm, alongside Curtis and Justin, and also serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the corporation.
Justin is a native of Sulphur, Louisiana and a high school graduate of Sulphur High School. After graduation he attended McNeese State University for one year before transferring to Louisiana Tech University to pursue a degree in Architecture. In 2001 he graduated from Louisiana Tech and moved back to Sulphur where he worked for a local Architecture firm for one year.
He and his wife then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where he worked for an Architecture firm for a few years. After moving back to Southwest Louisiana he went to work for Vincent and Shows Architects where he is currently a licensed, Project Architect. Justin takes care of much of the Contract Administration and submittal reviews for the firm.
In 2020, he became the third Principal of the newly-formed VSG Architects.
