Aviation + Industrial
We have completed many industrial projects for several private sector clients such as in-plant office buildings, fabrication shops, shipping facilities, employee medical and change house facilities, industrial teaching & training areas, hardened control centers, guard houses, access control gateways, process areas, and buildings in a new cogeneration power plant. We have worked on projects in the petrochemical plants, paper making industry, trucking terminals and industrial fabrication facilities. We have partnered with engineering firms and industrial construction companies on successful design-build projects. We have also acted on behalf of our clients as project managers for other engineering design groups. Our staff is familiar with the OSHA standards and have been trained in plant safety methods in the local petrochemical plants.
An important sub-category of our Industrial projects is Aviation. We have designed several facilities (both public and private) at airports throughout the gulf coast region. We have completed several hangar projects for private companies and public entities that are used for aircraft storage and also maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) work. Our aviation work also includes, parts/tools centers, back shops, air crew accommodations, painting/stripping facilities, an aircraft rescue and fire fighting facility, and a temperature and humidity controlled composite material shop for working on Airbus aircraft components. We are also working to renovate an existing helicopter hangar into a passenger terminal complete with TSA security facilities. We have been recently selected to design an air cargo hub facility that will receive cargo from large aircraft, have a sorting facility and then send the cargo out on trucks to the local region. We have also acted in a project management role on a new air traffic control tower project at Chennault International Airport. We acted as the client's local contact and coordinated the documents and construction with the prime design group and the contractor. This tower was designed by a specialty engineering group from Colorado.
