This project included the design and construction of a new 48,000 square foot hangar and shop building that was designed primarily for the storage, maintenance, repair & overhaul of the company’s Eurocopter EC225 Super Puma fleet. The building also includes office areas, employee break room, shop spaces & parts storage. The complete building, including the hangar bay area is fully climate controlled. To help achieve energy efficiency, the design utilizes heavily insulated sandwich type steel panels for the walls and roof as well as insulated fabric type, fast-acting hangar doors. The building includes a water/foam fire suppression system with redundant fire pumps and water supply tanks. The building structure utilizes design features for the hurricane-prone Gulf Coast region.

An additional project at this site is the rehabilitation of an existing aircraft hangar into a passenger terminal facility for customers going to and from offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. This facility has a waiting space for 300 passengers and includes offices and security facilities.
